This years “SVG Open“, for the first time under the title “The Graphical Web”, started today in Zurich, Switzerland. The company terrestris is being represented by two of its’ staff Marc Jansen and Christian Mayer. Besides classical themes like design and data visualisation using open web graphics this years program gives more room to subjects like 2D/3D-Webmapping and WebGIS as well as WebGL/Canvas for geographic visualisation. The first impressions are very promising and already in the first session break interesting conversations took place. terrestris will give a talk and conduct a workshop:
