In 2023, it was a primary goal of terrestris and its sister company mundialis to achieve successful certification of our respective quality and environmental management systems in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 standards. We are pleased to announce that our efforts in this regard have been crowned with success and that we have officially held the relevant certificates since December 2023.

Reaching a milestone

During the certification process, we collected, checked, scrutinised, revised, optimised, visualised and documented numerous processes of our companies in order to meet the requirements of both the specific standards and our own high standards. The successful certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 marks a significant milestone in our company’s history. It formally confirms our continuous pursuit of excellence and ongoing, scrutinised further development, which has always been an integral part of our corporate philosophy.

The decision to obtain certification emphasises our multifaceted commitment to further embedding quality in our business practices and confirms our positioning as a sustainable company and our commitment to ecological responsibility. All levels and areas of our company were involved in the introduction of the management systems in a transparent and comprehensible manner and were called upon to actively shape the specific organisation.

Our quality promise for the future

Our certification goes beyond the mere fulfilment of standards and has led to a further refinement of many operational processes. This not only has a positive effect on the quality of the services offered, but also creates an optimal working environment for the dedicated employees of both companies. As part of this process, not only has operational efficiency been optimised, but the environmental awareness of employees has also been further heightened.

TAW Cert GmbH, which carried out our certification audits in November, accordingly certifies that terrestris has introduced and applies a quality management system and an environmental management system for the area of application “Conceptualisation, programming, operation and consulting on geodata infrastructures and mostly web-based information systems / geoinformation systems based on free and open source software” (translated from the official certificate). In addition, proof has been provided that the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 standards are met.

We are proud to have successfully completed these meaningful endeavours and know that we and our customers will benefit from them. At the heart of both management systems is the fact that they are not static and that we must continuously and regularly monitor whether we still fulfil the requirements.
