The Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) has the competence center for geoinformation and remote sensing (CC G+F) of the business area of the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV). Within the scope of this responsibility, the BLE has the task of establishing and operating a geodata infrastructure for the BMELV’s business area.

As in the case of the Berlin/Brandenburg Geoportal, terrestris and SimpleThings have joined forces to form a successful bidding consortium and have been commissioned by the BLE to implement this SDI based on open source software components. terrestris is looking forward to a good cooperation with all project participants!
