In 2023, a primary goal of terrestris and its sister company mundialis was to successfully certify our respective quality and environmental management systems according to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 standards. We are pleased to announce that our efforts in this regard have been successful, and we have officially held the corresponding certificates since December 2023.

Achieving a milestone

During the certification process, we collected, reviewed, questioned, revised, optimized, visualized, and documented numerous processes of our companies to meet the requirements of both the specific standards and our own high standards. The successful certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 marks a significant milestone in our company histories. It formally confirms our continuous pursuit of excellence and lasting, critically examined further development, which has always been an integral part of our corporate philosophy.

The decision to certify underscores our diverse commitment to further anchoring quality in our operational practices and confirms our positioning as sustainable companies and our commitment to ecological responsibility. All levels and areas of our companies were transparently and comprehensibly involved in the introduction of the management systems and called upon to actively shape the concrete design.

Our quality promise for the future

Our certification goes beyond mere compliance with standards and has led to further refinement of many operational processes. This not only has a positive impact on the quality of the services offered, but also creates an optimal working environment for the dedicated employees of both companies. As part of this process, not only was an optimization of operational efficiency achieved, but also the environmental awareness of the employees was further sharpened.

The TAW Cert GmbH, which conducted our certification audits in November, accordingly certifies that terrestris has introduced and applies a quality management system and an environmental management system for the scope of “Conception, programming, operation and consulting on geodata infrastructures and mostly web-based information systems / geoinformation systems based on Free and Open Source Software”. In addition, proof has been provided that the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 standards are met.

We are proud to have successfully completed these meaningful efforts and know that we and our customers will benefit from them. At the core of both management systems is the principle that they are not static and that we must continuously and regularly check whether we are still meeting the requirements. Therefore, we look forward to continuing to actively work on quality and environmental issues in the future.
