Marc Jansen hält den Keynotevortrag

The FOSSGIS Conference 2010, which for the first time is designed for 4 days, started yesterday, Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010. A major innovation this year is the prominent participation of the OpenStreetMap project, which is dedicated to the generation of free geodata. This closes a gap felt by many, as all information systems benefit from the quality and topicality of the data they contain.

As in previous years, terrestris has contributed to the design of FOSSGIS 2010 with various presentations. At the start of the event yesterday, Marc Jansen gave the conference’s keynote speech on the topic of “HTML 5, ECMAScript 5 and the Cloud – Potentials for future WebGIS applications”, while Till Adams contributed a well-received presentation on the topic of “Are there alternatives to OpenLayers – About the nature of FOSS4G projects”
. All presentations will be available for download on the conference page
after the end of the conference.
