Last May, between May 8th and May 12th, 2023, the second GeoStyler Code Sprint took place at terrestris. This event brought together a total of 12 highly motivated developers from various parts of the world to work together on exciting further developments of the GeoStyler project. During this week, numerous impressive advances were made, including:
- Improvements to the homepage
- Support for entering filters
- The GeoStyler user interface has been further improved
- Work was done on MapBox as well as on a SymCore parser
- Updated GeoStyler-GeoServer-PlugIn
- A command-line tool to use GeoStyler directly on the command line was developed
In addition, there were numerous other minor improvements and innovations. A more detailed overview of what was accomplished during the week can be found here. Furthermore, our employee Jan Suleiman will report on the innovations in the GeoStyler project at the FOSS4G in Prizren, which will be starting shortly. Overall, the Code Sprint was an extremely productive week that was definitely something to be proud of. The developers more than deserved the final cold drink in a Bonn pub.

At this point, we would like to thank the OSGEO and FOSSGIS e.V. for their financial support of the Code Sprint. Special thanks also go to everyone who has contributed to the GeoStyler project so far. Your motivation, your commitment, your great contributions and ideas have contributed significantly to the success of this Code Sprint, but also of the project in general.
