GeoStyler – ArcGIS Support and Other New Features

Escaping vendor lock-in is often challenging, especially in cartography. Aside from new workflows and user interfaces that users have to deal with, a migration is often associated with a great deal of effort, for example, due to the need to recreate map styles in other formats. GeoStyler fills this gap and, with the new support for ArcGIS styles, offers the possibility of automatically converting existing styles into open formats such as SLD, QML (QGIS), and others. This can be done interactively via the GeoStyler UI, or via various interfaces such as the GeoStyler-CLI or GeoStyler-Rest.

In this presentation, we will demonstrate the current status of the GeoStyler ArcGIS Parser, as well as other results from the recent GeoStyler Code Sprint.
