SHOGun is an open-source application framework for building geospatial data infrastructures. SHOGun’s architecture is designed to operate between the extremes of “off-the-shelf” (standard product) and “fully handcrafted” (specific individual development).
Functionally, SHOGun provides the usual standard functions of a modern WebGIS. In addition to the configurability via a user interface, these are supplemented by tools such as the editing functions or the possibility of assigning permissions to clients and OGC services based on external user management systems.
In the presentation, we will present the current status of the project and demonstrate the modular interaction of the individual components. We will discuss the existing functionalities and focus on the individual expandability. All components can be dynamically extended and adapted to specific issues, e.g. through plugin systems. Furthermore, some concrete project examples from different industries will be presented.
