On December 2nd, the first expert day on the topics of Ext JS, Sencha Touch, etc. took place in Karlsruhe. The venue was the Konferenzzentrum KunstWerk of the hotel “Der Blaue Reiter”, which was well filled with well over 100 participants.

In seven expert presentations by 5 speakers, the main topics were “Cross-device application with ExtJS 5”, “Sencha Architect”, “Testing with Siesta”, “Performance optimization”, “User experience” and, of course, the features and changes of the recently released beta version of Ext JS 5.1.

In particular, the very entertaining and concrete presentations by Lee Boonstra (Sencha) and Mats Bryntse (Bryntum AB) offered a wealth of information as well as plenty of food for thought. These discussions, triggered by questions from the audience, are particularly memorable.

Conclusion: A very successful and well-organized event, where we were able to learn many things and from which we take away interesting food for thought for our daily work. We would certainly visit a possible next Sencha Day again.
