Our partner company mundialis GmbH & Co. KG is offering the following exciting lecture:
“Why does remote sensing have something to do with art?”
Find out the answer to this question on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at the Auping Plaza Bonn bed store.
On this evening, the managing director of mundialis, Hinrich Paulsen, will give a lecture on the topic “Why does remote sensing have something to do with art?”
Come by and see for yourself the extraordinary images and see how science and design work hand in hand. Current satellite data are professionally visualized in high resolution. We use the entire range of spectral wavelengths contained in the raw data. This results in sophisticated works of art that are both aesthetically and scientifically convincing.
Coastal forms with recognition value or abstract compressions of surprisingly colorful-looking desert landscapes from Asia – the whole world provides the motif selection.
The images show compositions from different channels based on Sentinel-2 data from the Copernicus program. Sentinel-2 data are multispectral satellite images that are freely available. After downloading, the scenes were atmospherically corrected with free software and a color composition was calculated with three different bands each.
We look forward to welcoming you on September 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Auping Plaza in Bonn!
