From March 17 to 19, 2010, Geoinformatics 2010 took place in Kiel at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität. An extensive and varied program prompted around 400 people to attend the conference. Although the terrestris presentation on “OpenLayers, Geoext and MapFish” was scheduled in the last block before the end of the conference on Friday, it was very well attended with an estimated 60 participants. The topic of interactive cartography on the web with Web 2.0 technologies is currently in high demand, which is attributed to the comparatively high number of participants.
