FOSS4G has started…

Following Denver, USA in 2011 and a break in 2012, this year’s international conference “Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial,” or FOSS4G for short, is taking place from September 17-22 in Nottingham, England, under the motto “Geo for All.” The organizers have even renamed well-known locations such as Nottingham to Mappingham and September to Maptember. In over 30 workshops and almost 200 presentations, new developments in the field of geoinformation processing will be presented.

terrestris is once again represented at the conference this year by Marc Jansen and Till Adams. An OpenLayers 3 Code-Sprint is currently taking place, in which Marc Jansen is participating. On Friday, Till Adams will give a presentation on the project “Brandenburg 3D“ and is also scheduled to moderate 2 sessions. In the following days, we will provide a brief overview of the highlights of each conference day here. So please come back.
