As already announced on March 19 by selectoid (the alter ego of Marc Jansen) on his private blog, the OpenLayers Cheatsheet for the current OpenLayers version 2.7 (PDF, approx. 900 kB) can be downloaded from the terrestris company page.
The cheatsheet summarizes the most important information about the JavaScript library OpenLayers on one DIN A4 page. Specifically, a Hello World example for creating a map application with OpenLayers is presented, and the most important objects with their methods and attributes are listed.
The cheatsheet is aimed at developers who are taking their first steps with OL, as well as experienced OpenLayers experts who do not want to memorize all their detailed knowledge, but want to see it summarized in one document. The document itself is still in an early phase, so it may still contain errors of various kinds. If you discover one, we would be very happy if you would contact us. The document is currently linked on the official OpenLayers project page under the item “other documentation.”
This version is optimized for printing; in the future — presumably with the soon-to-be-released version 2.8 of OpenLayers — we will update the cheatsheet and create a version that is copy-and-paste-able.
We hope you find the cheatsheet helpful in developing OpenLayers applications.
